BONAKOL® LD

BONAKOL® LD is polychloroprene contact adhesive based on special types of polychloroprene rubbers modified with synthetic resins and reactive oxides of divalent metals, so that bonding can be conducted at room temperature. Adhesive joint has an excellent strength and adhesion.

BONAKOL® LD does not contain toluene in its formula.

APPLICATION:

BONAKOL® LD is designed mostly for purse making industry for bonding natural and synthetic leather, textile materials, fleece, cardboard and some plastics. BONAKOL® LD can also be used in footwear industry, especially for permanent bonding of internal components of footwear.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:

Appearance:            viscous yellow liquid

Dry weight:               18-22% in accordance with PN-EN 827

Viscosity:                   KF 6 mm, outflow 50 ml 40-55 sec. in accordance with PN-EN ISO 2431

Peel Strength in accordance with PN-ISO 11339 type of material canvas-canvas:

Initial – at least 2,5 kN/m

Final – at least 3,5 kN/m

Thermal activation (70-85oC) of the adhesive joint prior to bonding increases joint’s strength, both initial and final, by about 33%.
